As part of efforts to strengthen primary healthcare under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), Isuna Technologies is providing support to design, develop, and deploy the first-ever Primary Health Care Financial Management System (PHC-FMS).
This PHC-FMS comprises both web and mobile application tools that enable facility-level management of BHCPF funds, real-time financial tracking, and multi-tiered reporting. The aim is to improve transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making in the management of public health financing, particularly at the frontline of care delivery.
The application was designed with users in mind, combining human-centered design principles, stakeholder consultations, and field testing to ensure relevance, usability, and sustainability. Core features include business planning, expense categorization, digital receipt uploads, real-time dashboards, and automated reporting tailored to both facility-level operators and state and national oversight bodies.
Isuna piloted the prototype in 6 state with support from NPHCDA, allowing for iterative testing, feedback collection, and system strengthening. The pilot demonstrated the potential for a phased rollout to cover PHC facilities enrolled under the BHCPF, offering a unified digital infrastructure to manage and report on the flow and use of health funds.
This project demonstrates Isuna's commitment to building scalable solutions that strengthen public institutions, drive operational efficiency, and improve service delivery in the health sector. By empowering frontline health workers and government stakeholders with the tools they need to manage resources effectively, Isuna is helping ensure that public funds are used transparently and reach the communities they are intended to serve.
